I want a new layout. I've spent over an hour trying different ones, but everything looks ugly.

This one, too, but I'm leaving it for now. I don't feel like fighting LJ any longer.
Besides, I still didn't find a perfect cap for my Spike icon. Maybe I'll have more luck with this.

I do like this one - though I think the colour of the writing might hurt your eyes after a while.

When i was setting up spn_sceneit I tried out lots of darker layouts, and some of the ones I liked were:

Beckett
Folio (my favourite)
Army Attire *lol*

Hope this helps - all I did when I was choosing that layout (even though I went for 'our' layout in the end - was choose the 'Dark Colours' option and scroll through them all =)

That's what my problem is - the style/color of writing *grinds her teeth*

I've tried Beckett, too. Couldn't fit the banner, though. It's too narrow and for some reason it didn't just center but started repeating itself.

And I went through all the "dark" like three times *sighs*

But I don't remember those other two you listed, so I'm going to see how they look.

Army Attire isn't in the Dark Colours - just click All and it's right near the top =)

Folio looks ok. I may switch to it.
I didn't like the second one, though. I really don't know why.
