My comp died today.
After the latest problems, couple of months ago, my IT guru warned me, that those were its last days.
I didn't even manage to back up everything I had there, because for the last week or so, it refused to burn anything.
I can't afford a new comp. I don't know when I can afford new comp.
For now, I'm using company's laptop, good only for checking e-mails. And they may ask me to give it back any moment really.
I'm going to cry a little and generally feel sorry for myself.

Date: 2008-09-08 06:41 am (UTC)It's been ages since I had to think about how to get access to the net. My library has public computers. But there usually are hordes of teenagers around them. And they didn't block LJ and my webmail sites at my work (yet).
Maybe it's time to quit smoking and save the money this way...
