With every passing hour, I'm more and more frustrated with what's happening at work.
I won't go into details (yet...), let's just say that I have serious issues with a boss, who's constantly trying to undermine my knowledge and questions everything I do.

And yes, I am starting to consider looking for a new job. Only I'm scared. 'Cos the last time I've tried this, it ended in a total disaster and I'm still paying for this (and I mean this literally).

Is there any way you can address this with your boss, or maybe through someone else, so you don't have to find a new job?

No. You see, my boss is in the same time our General Manager and there's no one between her and me in my company's "chain of command".

Is there not someone in Human Resources or personnel, or a union rep maybe, you could try? Otherwise, amybe you're right and you should leave - it's not worth letting one person make you unhappy.

We are fairly small company (about 50 people now) and we have only three people with "manager" status. None of them can reall do anything for me, becuase I'm a one person department and they have no say in its matters.

There is one chick (sorry, it's the only word that describes her) working in HR. She'd been appointed a month ago, had one training, no experience ( before, she worked as a sales dept. assistant and stewardess) and she's already proven that she'd rather be on company/boss side.

We've had a union, for a very short time, but it all "died" when people realized they actually have to pay fees (however small they were), to keep the things going...

So, I don't really see the way.

I'll wait a bit more and see how things develop.

Unfortunately, no. She's our General Manger and I report directly to her... :(
