I decided I deserve a treat and bought new  DVD player today (the old one died few months ago).
Nothing fancy, but it's multi regional and plays both divix and xvid, so I can finally stop using my comp as a player for .avi files (hate this and the old dvd didn't have this option).

And it works like magic *g*

It's called Manta, model Prince 2. But I'm not sure if it's available under this name outside Poland (although it says "made for Manta Europe" on the box).
I know that some Philips and LG models can play .avi, too, but they cost almost twice as much.

Hmmm....I'll watch out for the name but I suspect I won't see it over here. I need to get a new DVD player soon as my current one is getting a little old!

My DVD player was pretty cheap and I made sure I got one too that plays everything I burn so I can sit and watch stuff on my TV rather than on my computer :)

Yeah :-)
I've really had enough sitting on a chair, almost folded in two, and being forced to use headphones, because my speakers are really lousy :-) Plus, my eyes weren't too happy with the the comp, since I have to constantly use it at work.
