"The last of the Time Lords"

The end of a season always feels strange. You see, I’m a greedy person and 13-episode season is definitely not enough (heck, 20 isn’t!). I wish the actors had no life, and just spend the whole time filming, filming, filming… Ok, I’m kidding (but just a little).
The Master was yet again fabulous. And I got a feeling he’s not quite dead yet. This ring-moment looked a little suspicious… But maybe it’s just my wishful thinking.
Martha got to save the day and with style, I have to give her credit for this. This didn’t change my whole impression of her much, though, but she definitely improved in last two episodes. Huge plus for her is her deciding to leave the Doctor. This was great scene, too bad it ended with the phone thing. For me, it was a bit too much.
The “bondage” bits actually made me giggle (and hands up who didn’t have dirty thoughts looking at him stretched like this… *g*). Ok, he got to shoot at the paradox machine in the crucial moment, but it was still not enough. I understand, that it was because the episode evolved around Martha. But it’s still huge pity.
And Jack being The Face of Boe… I can’t decide how I feel about this. At first, I shouted (yes, actually shouted) “OMG!! OMG!! How cool is that??”. But then I started thinking. If Jack is a fixed point in time, then how can he be getting old? I understood this as him always be “restored” in the same “form” he was on Satelite 5. Not to mention the fact, that we actually saw the Face dying.
I’ll have to go and re-watch all “Boe eps”, but I don’t think it will actually add anything. The hits were vague enough, that they can fit this story arch, but they could’ve also easily fit in any other explanation. I don’t know why, and I don’t know if I’m right, but I suspect that RTD didn’t think about this particular “explanation” of Boe, until 3rd season. I was very disappointed (and surprised) that it wasn’t mentioned in the “Confidential” at all. Second most important “bomb” of the season, and not a word? WTF??
Oh, and Christmas special looks interesting. Titanic and Tardis with a hole in a wall? How this was possible, when even Daleks couldn’t scratch it??
So, now I'll have "Eureka" to fill the gap, and SGA is back at the end of September (I'm counting the days...).
Btw - I've watched first four eps of "Sanctuary" and got bored like hell. If it wasn't for the fact, that David Hewlett and Paul McGillion are going to be in it, I'd stopped watching after first two.
