"Irresponsible"

And they've been doing so well this season...
I admit, "Irresistible" wasn't totally a bad episode. It's watchable, but nothing more.
So why, oh why, bring Lucius again? This ep was so full of holes and inconsistencies, that I don't even know where to start.
In no particular order:
1. I thought it couldn't get worst after "The Long Goodbye", but clearly, we are supposed to believe, that senior staff of Atlantis are all idiots. It's the only explanation that comes to mind, when they let Lucius left Atlantis, with all the knowledge he gathered about the city, people and everything. They didn't even know where he was... Because, clearly, changing the codes solves all the problems and is the answer to all possible risks....
2. Shep going to the Gate, and getting all surprised finding it guarded by Genii... Poor baby, he really never sees it coming...
3. The village - barely changed since SG-1's "Revisions". I understand the necessity of using the same sets. But it always irritates me when they won't made even the slightest effort to change it.
4. Wasting Kolya's death like this... Unforgivable. And, God, he must be dead. Because if he pops up again, it would mean that Shep isn't even a toy soldier. He would be just a boy toy, looking good in shades and clingy t-shirts, while sprawling on a chair. And doesn't know that you need to make sure if the shot really killed.
5. The team, merrily leaving, after learning, that Lucius practically memorized all Atlantis' mission reports (see also "1").
6... you know what? There's gonna be no 6. It's really not worth the effort.
The only shining moment was, when everybody stepped in front of Rodney, when Kolya was about to shoot him. The shock on Rodney's face was really cute, and him, being him, I can easily believe he did not expect this.
The rest is silence.
Let's pretend this episode did not happen.
