"Adrift"
That was one damn good start for the new season. I’m not too fond of the multi-part eps, but I don’t think it would’ve work, if they wrapped it up in just one episode. It would have looked too easy.
Everything went pretty fast, yet I didn’t get the feeling that it was rushed. The transitions were amazingly smooth.
I can’t actually decide who I loved more – Rodney or John.
Sheppard so visibly lost his “laid back” attitude, that I was actually shocked for a moment. He was showing feelings! And he looked a little lost and a lot of uncertain, while talking to Rodney about who’s in charge. It was so good to finally see this part of him.
Rodney – eh, I think I’m even more in love with him, if that’s even possible. He was in his element. Coming up with ideas (or not – and admitting as much), while in the same time predicting certain death. Loved how he and Radek finished each other sentences. Loved concern for
And I absolutely, totally loved that he finally called Sheppard – John…
The John and Rodney show is truly back. I missed them.
Radek was brilliant.
Ronon… I’m not his biggest fan, most of the time I don’t really care if he’s there. But his scene with
Now, you all know I’m not a fan of Sam Carter (to put it mildly). But, seriously, what was the reason she even was in this episode? The scenes with her weren’t at all necessary. All of this could easily happen off screen. And – surprise, surprise - she managed to suggest it was Rodney’s fault they didn’t get to the designated planet. Ad she was like three minutes on screen. Something (maybe my natural pessimism) tells me, it’s how the things are gonna be this season…
