If you want cheesy scifi plots and a bit boy-on-boy on screen action(especially in season 2) - try it =)
I'm brave enough to admit I watch it solely for Jack & Ianto, because I like pretty boys XD

*lol* Definitely not enough boy on boy for me, but I'm greedy =) Plus it's really rare to have a canon pairing,so I'm trying not to complain :)

The show itself is more cheesy than DW, mostly because the scripts are not as good. But at the same time it's so easy on the eyes I don't mind.
